Hey folks! My name is Spencer. I’m 21, just graduated college, and I’m selling a short story I wrote in order to try and scrape together money for uninsured labs (yikes), a new T script, and if I get lucky some to sock away in my surgery fund.
It’s an autobiographical narrative about myself and another transguy, interspersed with a second surrealist thread, and a hell of a lot of scandal. It’s also somewhat NSFW in places, so that’s always fun. An abridged version was published in the University of Arizona’s undergrad lit and art journal, so hopefully that’s some assurance of quality. Thanks for looking, folks—I appreciate it.
I just wanted to let everyone know that The Levamentum Project has moved their create your own store program to its own site! If you are looking to raise some dollars, just fill out this form (it just asks for your name and email and why you want to do it) and then sign up at TLP Wholesale.
There you can buy trans* items (of both sides of the spectrum) to resell for any purpose, with your retail store, or just selling a couple things off your tumblr to raise some money for your transition. Either way its an easy way to make money.
Hi everyone! I’m a transgirl trying to get top surgery in Texas and I would appreciate it so much if you took a second to look at my fundraiser! Also, signal boost if you want because that would be so amazing! Help! Thanks! It’s top surgery time! And I need the help of my community to make my transition possible!
give all the money!!!
dooooo ittttt and booooossssttt ittttt
I am a female-to-male transgender man seeking help to fund my chest reconstruction surgery, the next step in my transition.
My general policy is not to post fundraisers for trans* surgeries simply because that would be a full-time job. But I know this guy -
I am trying to save up money for surgery on my own to get my chest reconstructed to reflect a male chest but it is slow going. I so far have $1,500 but I need $8,000 minimum (surgery cost + rent and living costs during recovery). I do want to get surgery sooner rather then later for one big reason, otherwise I could wait. I want to get married. But I can’t get married until I am legally male if I intend to get a marriage that is legally recognized in all 50 states and by the federal government. If you could consider getting one of my shirts to help support my savings goal! :) I would be eternally grateful.
Hey folks, my book Barefoot, a collection of poems and stories about my transition and other life stuff, will be coming out on January 21, 2014. You can pre-order your handbound, recycled copy now on my website. It will also be available in e-book form. :) All of the funds collected from book sales will make my top surgery happen, and after my surgery, 50% of the funds will be donated to other trans guys in need. Thanks for your support! Light and love. <3
Hi, everyone! I need your help to get the word out about my top surgery fundraiser. What’s better than knowing you helped to change someone’s life? Getting awesome art, photographs, mixtapes and more for doing it!
Good karma and tons of love if you can reblog and spread the word!

there’s been an overwhelmingly positive reaction to this suggestion, so here it is: the trans stuff swap. the basic premise is that lots of us, all around the world, have old clothes, bras, binders, prosthetics, etc that we don’t need anymore which could be extremely helpful to other trans folks in need. the goal of the trans stuff swap is to hook people up with these resources in their area.
trans stuff swap aims to coordinate giveaways and trades without funds or goods actually passing through me (better known as the moderator of lookatthisfuckingcisgender). how it works is simple enough: send transswap - NOT lookatthisfuckingcisgender - a message with contact info; whether you’re looking to donate, swap, or receive stuff; what you’re looking to donate, swap or receive; and whether or not you can pay for shipping/how much you can pay for shipping. you’ll then be popped on a list and matched up with the next person who fits the bill, and i’ll put you in touch.
monetary donations are also great! however, i would really prefer to avoid as much money-handling as possible on my part; what this means is that if you’d like to make a monetary contribution, what will happen is that i’ll hook you up directly with someone who needs help paying for shipping.
another way to help out is to let me know if you’re willing to purchase new bra inserts/prosthetics/larger binders/what have you. if so, great! that stuff is often very hard to find used. once again, i’ll put you on a list, and hook you up with the next person who fits the bill.
since this is a trial run, i’m currently aiming to test it out for, say, a month or so? at which point i’ll see how things are going and if it’s worth continuing, if there are changes to be made, etc. following this blog would be extremely helpful, because i will probably post calls occasionally for in-demand items and/or updates about the swap and what’s available.
if you’re interested, there’s a short application form and faq under the cut. reminder once again to PLEASE submit anything swap-related to transswap and not lookatthisfuckingcisgender, or else there’s a good chance i’ll miss your message. thanks!
Please show your support in this journey to get my masectomy and hysterectomy! When I was in school I was bullied. Kids would spit on me, kick me, put my backpack inside out and push me down the stairs. When I told an administrator they told me, “A lady boy half-person like you should expect to be treated that way.” Students and teachers called me an “it” and a “tranny”. So, I withdrew out of high school my first week of junior year and got my GED. I’m going to the Community College of Rhode Island and majoring in art. I have anxiety and depression. I also have dysphoria. I have been on Testosterone since January 2013. However, the one thing that I still desperately need is top-surgery (masectomy) and the left over money towards a hysterectomy (so I won’t get Cancer and have to get PAP tests). It is all very expensive. Give or take 7,000 dollars. I need help to raise this money. I identify as gay. I can’t even go on the city bus without cringing at the things people call me and I can’t live without my chest binder. My father is homeless, my family disowned me and my mother is disabled. It seems wherever I look I can’t pass as myself. I don’t want to prove my happiness, my gender, my pronouns or my name. All I want is equality. And of course, no more moobs. Please help, thank you for your support, I couldn’t accomplish this without you!
